privacy, but everything contained within the story and thesuffering and pain etc., are real because of this disorder

Cauda Equina Syndrome. The following is in some parts hard to believe this could happen to a person, but it did and

the consequences of this are real. Each story may vary slightly from one to the other but they all have the same

underlying pattern of pain, loss of dignity and more than anything loss of self-belief, until some empathy was shown
